might that note be juniper berry? wild guess but i notice it's present in a lot of scented products marketed towards men

Whatever the note is, it's present in AXE bodywash.

To me it has a dominant note that I have found in men's deodorants and bodywashes that smell really artificial, cold, and "fresh". I can unfortunately not verbalize what it is, but it smells like a men's locker room minus the sweat.
