He couldn't save the world ..

Here’s a comment about a fragrance whose advertising text caught my attention:

J’ai Fait un Rêve
I dreamed of a world where differences unite and the extraordinary comes to life.

I dreamed of a universal being of primitive, primal human dignity with a shared consciousness and a collective memory.

I dreamed of a breeze of harmony that reconciles nature with humanity.

I dreamed of art as a response to hate and misery, of an independent, cheeky art that unites talents, connects souls, evokes emotions, an art that builds bridges where walls stand.

And now let’s see how this claim is realized:

Before I delve into the fragrance, a few words about this unusual, organically shaped dark shiny glass bottle with a cap that looks like a wooden hand warmer. I just think it’s great .. something different and it also expresses this somewhat esoteric approach.

Now to the fragrance:

In the top note, a rather strong pepper hits you, not unpleasant, the strength that refreshes and additionally clears the nose for the upcoming fragrance notes. According to the pyramid, pink pepper, hmm .. I assume it’s meant to be a pepper that is not so sharp. This immediately blends with the bitterness of bergamot. This mélange feels unusual .. how should I describe it.. oscillating .. fresh green .. refreshing.

The heart note comes relatively quickly with a mix of floral jasmine and the main note, a non-sweet vanilla note that seamlessly connects with the jasmine. A combination I have not encountered before, which exerts a special charm and creates a strong feel-good factor.

In the base, fresh-smelling cedar and cashmere wood mix under the heart note, and there’s also saffron. The oud is certainly responsible for this freshness but is not explicitly detectable for me. There is no medicinal oud note present. After the feel-good phase in the heart note, everything now somehow feels driving in a positive way and is thus not an ending but a beginning.

Unfortunately, the fragrance can only be limitedly connected to the advertising text. There are more accurate implementations, for example in "Autoportrait" by Olfactive Studio.

Genre: Refreshing and light oud fragrance

For: Unisex, business and leisure

Sillage and longevity: Medium, rather close to the body and 6 hours

Status: Worth testing for lovers of non-sweet fragrances

Note: The underlying idea/the advertising text was not implemented.
One can have it, but it’s not a must at this rather high price: EdP 120 ml/ 189,--

The text would have appealed to me, but the brand has disappointed me a few times.
