The Scent of Young Italians
The namesake deodorant from Malizia is a big player in the Italian deodorant market. Apparently, every second person between the ages of 16 and 30 uses it there, I've been told. Whether that's true, I can't judge, as I have been and still am too rarely in Italy.
Here in Germany, I have only encountered the deodorant that motivated me to buy the EdT once.
An Italian friend used it, left it on the windowsill, and I, who often swindle or steal perfumes from various people, seized the opportunity and took my revenge.
Muhahahahahahaha. (At this point, there's a diabolical laugh emphasized by finger movements à la Mister Burns.)
After about half a can of deodorant was sprayed in my living room (actually on the balcony, but the door was open), it took a few days until
- the scent had completely faded
- I could befriend it again without thinking of the incident.
The incident: to my horror, the young man had sprayed his stinky socks with the deodorant to continue wearing them. Of course, I intervened and would have preferred to smack the socks around his ears. (I may have done that.)
In any case, after a few days, I realized that
- the scent is actually quite pleasant
- I didn't know before that I apparently really like vetiver.
Now I have finished the deodorant and, while looking for a refill, stumbled upon an (Italian) site where I could purchase it in twelve-pack supplies.
I'm really not like that. (No, not at all. In the background, the meme with Labradors in different colors and the title "When you like sth so you decide to get it in all colours" pops up.) But this stuff has really charmed me, plus this way I can return the deodorant to the Italian if he ever asks for it. However, he would then owe me the pair of socks I gave him so he wouldn't have to spend the day in his vetiver "showered" socks. (No, thank you.)
So on this site, I discover various sets, with aftershave, with EdT... and much more.
"Why not? At that price, you can't go wrong." - thought, done, ordered.
The EdT smells fresh, the bergamot, which I also like in (black) tea, works well and is the one that gives the scent the necessary (fruity seeming) freshness.
!But!
For me, the deodorant smells woody-fresh, simply wonderful. A little spice joins in from time to time.
If the deodorant were a forest, the EdT would be a somewhat dusty forest, like in the comparison of two identical paintings, one of which is covered in dust, or in the examination of identical twins, one of whom leaves the house without sunscreen, it would fare worse.
It also doesn't last as well as the deodorant.
You could certainly combine both, but in my opinion, that's unnecessary: the deodorant is more than sufficient.
It has absolute recognition value and no one in my environment has found it bothersome, not even on me as a woman.
Deodorants forever!
Long live people who use deodorants and wash their socks in the washing machine!

don't underestimate stinky socks!
After all, you owe them the deodorant experience, and we owe them this charming tale. It's great that you now like the EdT too, even if the deodorant is enough! Definitely a sock trophy!
As a punishment for Parfumklaus: empirically investigate the deodorant usage of Italians. Sample group: at least 2000.
