Aoud Lemon Mint Mancera 2016

After a long time of hype, I bought what is considered by most reviewers to be one of the perhaps 5 best Manceras you can get. Personally, it is, precisely, my fifth Mancera. It is a blind purchase that I am still not sure if I regret. I'll start with what it is not: it is not the fresh and summery Mancera I expected, it is not something original, nor something I have not smelled before, it is not a beast. The last one no, perhaps it has to do with my bach 2023, magnetic cap, maybe reformulated. What is it? It is a sweet, spicy and warm perfume, with a clear reminiscence of L'home Ideal with the main note of almonds. That's the main point that makes me contrary. The almond is not a note that I like too much, the two l'homme ideal that I had (EDT and extreme) ended up selling them. Slightly sweet, woods and oud just accessories. Pleasant mainly when dry, as its opening is strongly strident and synthetic. Its performance lasts about 5 to 6 hours with subtle projection. I'll give it a few months of maceration, maybe the oxygen will enrich the composition.
