A Marbert of today... I imagine it to be quite classic and herbal.

There are too many "hurdles" for me here (Calone, herbal lavender), so I'll skip this one.

Thank you so much, Hapax!
Marbert from the 1990s, definitely.
You have to get through the sweet Calone at the beginning to enjoy the herbal heart. It's really beautifully composed, crystal clear, and multifaceted.
At first, it reveals a deep green forest clearing, with a slightly sweaty herbal lavender jogging by in a geranium sweatshirt.
The blackcurrant is well done, never too much or too fruity.
The amber base is sweet again, but just barely balanced by the slightly smoky duo of patchouli and vetiver.
For the price, this little fragrance surpasses the usual suspects of the Sweet Heart faction.
