The Discovery from the Bottom Right Shelf
I feel the need to write a comment about this beautiful fragrance, as I had to rescue it from its shadowy existence at Müller, all the way down on the bottom shelf in the right corner.
I had had this fragrance on my wishlist for a while, but I had not spotted it anywhere, as the brand "Marbert," which was quite well-known during my childhood and youth, is no longer as widely represented.
So I had to wait until my path led me back to the nearest big city to Müller, and if I hadn’t really scanned every shelf with my eyes, I surely would not have noticed it.
Down at the very bottom, in the last row, it was living its shadowy existence, the bottle packaged in a golden tin that doesn’t look cheap.
The bottle is white, simple, and heavy, which fits well with a fragrance that calls itself "Pure."
I gave the honor to this fragrance to be the first of several that I tested, and it turned out to be the absolute winner of the day.
If I had only relied on the fragrance pyramid, I wouldn’t have expected what slowly but surely caressed my nose.....!
Orange blossom and tuberose are truly not my preferred fragrance notes, as I have already tested too many scents where the tuberose simply overwhelmed me and the orange blossom turned out to be a bit sharp and penetrating.
But here, the two have formed such a perfect connection that I only perceive a fresh opening of exotic flowers, which is round and pleasing.
The jasmine is also not dominant in this case, and soon the fragrance transitions into a wonderful, clean creaminess, where I subtly catch a whiff of vanilla.
It has something of vacation, sunscreen, and carefree joy!
Even after hours, I can still smell it; it really has good longevity without being intrusive.
In hindsight, I am glad that I freed the tin from its dungeon!
When a fragrance is sitting where most people won’t bend down to look, you usually don’t have high expectations! Although that also intrigues me again, as many fragrances that are at eye level don’t pique my interest at all, since they are usually the latest flankers of a well-selling scent that is currently trendy!
It’s like in real life; one should always pay attention to the people who are not loud and flashy, and you will find that the quiet and reserved often have much to say without having to talk so much.
So, that was my closing word about this fragrance that has sneaked into my heart and gives me a cozy feeling, and it is also a plea to everyone who has previously disregarded the treasures that sit at the bottom and perhaps even dusty on the shelf!
