This summer is somehow... crazy. After two days of 30°C, days of rain and 16°C follow. For me, it's a good opportunity to test a fragrance called Winter even in summer.
The opening is simply stunning. The citrus fruits and neroli blossoms combined with honey and soft wood sweep around me. Oh, how beautiful it is.
But it doesn't stop there; it gives way to flowers. Clearly jasmine and ylang-ylang, and yes, the iris adds its powdery touch. I can't perceive cinnamon, but it might be the warmth in the heart note.
This is such a beautiful, lush, voluminous, warm, sweet, and cozy fragrance, far too precious to be worn only in winter. I believe that in temperatures like today, at the beginning of spring and especially in autumn, it makes the days sunnier.
And even more so when the base sets in. One would want to open a nice bottle of red wine, light the fireplace, take out some delicious truffle chocolates from the fridge, and comfortably sit in front of the fireplace to enjoy and cuddle.
This softness, spiciness, and sweetness, in wonderful harmony with the wood, is simply gorgeous.
This fragrance is a must for all lovers of gourmand scents. I dare say it is the most beautiful of the Les 4 Saisons series by Micallef.
