This special edition is fruity, but not overly sweet.
I can recognize red fruits, but I can't identify exactly which ones.
In the top note, there is also an apple note playing along, slightly sour in the background. Also very subtle: a rose note, much more like a light rose water than a fully bloomed rose.
A bit of musk coats the fruits and the rose water with a touch of powder.
After a while, sandalwood emerges, pushing aside the fresh fruity elements, and it becomes warmer, woodier, and heavier, but still beautifully powdered.
The overall composition is round and balanced. I detect no disharmonies, and all notes harmoniously resonate in the same rhythm.
Longevity is good.
For me, the green apple note is simply too weakly represented, and the red fruits recede too quickly; the powder note and sandalwood play too prominent a role for me, and it doesn't come across well on my skin. I would have preferred it to be much fruitier, lighter, and fresher.
Well described. By the way, I'm really happy that there's no more green apple in it because I don't like that apple scent at all. On the other hand, I really love this Micallef special edition and I'm already saving up for it. A little something for you.
