Patchouli at its Finest
awaits me.
As ChaiTee already describes, this fragrance benefits from a bit of patience.
In my opinion, it doesn't start like church incense; I also belong to the strictly Catholic-raised faction, but rather like a strict leather whip.
Phew, I thought at first, and off with it. It's too leathery, too cold.
But then it actually develops.
Patchouli gradually takes up more space in a balsamic way:
Soft, sweet-unsweet, for patchouli it's rather subtle, the incense appears as a little "aftertaste".
However, I must add here that I have experienced both many incense overkills, church-related - in my hometown there was a priest who preferred to hold long Latin masses with swinging incense kettles until the neighbors couldn't recognize anything - (by the way, I actually liked it, it was so dramatic) and some patchouli invasions during my school and university years.
In short:
I really like this fragrance; I will probably wear it often on patchouli days.
After the leather whip, a fine patchouli scent, hmmh.
