wearing the Dragon to work
I'm a big fan of Cartier's Le Baiser du Dragon (The Dragon's Kiss; sometimes known by its detractors as "Dragon Breath"), with its powerful patchouli-benzoin-cedar and its delicious syrupy amaretto-caramel note with its edges rounded off by (surprisingly) a hint of gardenia. As many have noted, the Dragon settles down nicely after a while. But it's still not the type of thing most of us would wear to work.

That's where the lovely MaxMara Kashmina Touch comes in. This little-known scent strikes me as the Dragon you can wear to work. Instead of a powerful femme fatale, this cheerful take on amaretto (helpfully lightened with a pretty orange note) instead transmits the message that its wearer is a happy, competent bon vivant. Not much sillage here, just a quiet aura of comfort. I'm happy to have stumbled across it.

Melt
Hold on... hhhhch hhhhch... I need to breathe on the lens for a moment to get you in the right mood for this perfume. Let me dim the lights and light a scented candle. Would you prefer Air, Chet Baker, or Marvin Gaye? I also have Sade available. Does anyone not like chai latte? No? Good. Then everyone is taken care of now.

Kashmina Touch is the softest temptation that has come my way. This wood melts instantly on the skin, leaving nothing but a pleasant, comforting scent. Only the most tender adjectives come to mind for this fragrance: gentle, soft, delicate, fine, melting, mild, soothing, calm, still, enchanting, soft, silky, cozy, velvety...

A fine wood, gently marinated with a hint of citrus, accompanied by a whisper of sweet-smoky notes on a soft musk base. A warm and noble scent that pairs just as well with a delicate silk blouse as it does with a fluffy cashmere sweater. Nothing scratches, pinches, or pokes here; it’s hard to get more skin-friendly than this.

The sillage is a mystery to me as well: indeed, Kashmina Touch is not a perfume with overwhelming longevity and projection, but when the textiles catch some of this fine composition while spraying, I am enveloped in the most beautiful scent cloud. I once sprayed my thin decorative scarf with Kashmina Touch: the room it hung in smelled of nothing else for three days. But since this perfume smells so wonderful, that was perfectly fine. Very nice!

Anyone want a chai latte?

Very helpful Review 7
Well. A lot of wood, indeed. But good!!
I can't help myself, buying without testing first.
I've had this scent in the back of my mind for a long time, various types of wood really intrigue me, and I found Amaretto interesting too, and what is winter daphne?

So, daphne is a plant family whose pollen is partly toxic on its own. The wood of some species is apparently used to produce incense.

Okay. So, a lot of wood.

Indeed. And as soon as the lemon and alcohol note at the beginning fades away. Although part of the alcohol note definitely comes from the Amaretto. It smells slightly almondy. The rest is probably just the carrier substance.
Yeah, and then it becomes really woody.

Herbaceous, warm, freshly cut, mainly dark wood. With a slight musk note that makes everything a bit cozier.

Very close to the skin, little projection, but not such bad longevity, in my opinion. Kashmina Touch could also be worn by men because it is so little sweet. Because it is so light and so close to the body, I can even imagine wearing it now, at 32 °C outside, or in high humidity. Maybe in the tropical house it would be excellent...really, now.

I'll try it out tomorrow too.

Kashmina Touch
When I want to smell like \"nothing\", I use Kashmina Touch. I only notice it when I spray it on. It disappears so quickly that I can't even describe it.

a light, warm little water
I smelled it for the first time today and fell a little in love, so I took it with me... on the test strip, it smells very intense and warm, nice for winter, and you just want to snuggle up with it..

on my skin, it smells less intense, but I still feel well-warmed... it’s not intrusive, not a bomb candidate, but a very beautiful scent.. something different for me :-)

I’ve made fire!
With splinters underfoot and blisters on my skin, she swings the heavy axe unclouded and splits my mood.
