Gentle Start, but then...

When I read the list of fragrance notes above, I wonder what all can be packed into an amber scent. And above all, does it really have to be this way? Too many cooks spoil the broth, and unfortunately, this is a case of that.
The opening is wonderfully gentle. Not sweet, just a nice hint of warmth. Very close to the skin for me. Personally, it's a bit too gentle, but that’s why I would never rate the fragrance poorly.
But unfortunately, after about 2.5 hours, it turned harsh, for me a distinctly cheap aftershave note. The amber had completely transformed for me, from beautiful to yuck. I have no idea what causes it. Is there a note that clashes with my skin?
At least the longevity wasn’t too strong; after 5 hours, it was all over.

Oh, that's too bad, it's so lovely on me! No trace of aftershave, thankfully... It's really amazing how different our perceptions of scents can be!
