So, what do I have here?… oh, a fine Italian from Mazzolari, whose name somehow sounds like an Italian football player, who knows, who knows.
I do like Italy, good food, beautiful landscapes, great fashion, and a zest for life with plenty of fiery passion for the simple things in life. In my opinion, it is precisely this ability to create greatness from simple means that is mastered and lived in Italy in its purest form. To craft masterful compositions from a few top-quality basic ingredients that do not impress through extravagance and complexity, but rather in their simplicity and attention to detail.

Augusto is a classic example of Italian creativity and complexity that has found its way to me and my nose through dear Parfumo Ernstheiter. Thank you!
The opening features a ripe sweet orange carried by the citrusy acidity of bergamot. Cool, fresh mint joins the two citrus fruits and structures the top note into a dewy fresh sunrise. The freshness that greets you reminds one of a morning in the mountains, the sun rising on the horizon, standing barefoot on the dew-covered meadow, a cool, clear air sweeps over you and drives the sleep from your eyes.

Next comes a subtle rose scent that by no means has the strength to set itself in the base, no, it softens the initially emerging freshness and adds a certain floral sweetness. Lavender leaves a honey-scented nuance in the heart note and allows for associations with green, flower-covered mountain meadows in their colorful variety.

In the base, spicy, dry accords of sandalwood lose the fragrance's freshness and give it a soapy undertone through the lavender that is by no means dusty, but rather modern and balanced. Amber adds a certain smoothness and sweet fullness to this fragrance, which suits the dry cedarwood well.

Mazzolari has reinterpreted a classic fragrance with Augusto and gives the soapy nuances a modern youthfulness that knows how to convince.
A very nice fragrance for the warm season with a subtle sillage and good longevity. A men's fragrance that for me does not possess enough masculinity to be worn by women. In the drydown, Augusto becomes ever softer and sweeter, which makes it very delicious and gentle.
