A warm promise - that is how Last Season was conceived. Yet whoever pushes open the - unexpectedly - final door' will find hardly anything warm and lovely behind it. Earthy depth, bitter shadows and the cool dampness of an old vault.
The fragrance feels remote to me (or am I?); as if it were hovering between arrival and farewell, between welcome and passing away.
Nothing about this distinctive fragrance art seems immediately pleasing; rather, in the cooled draught of air, a melancholic, lingering ... silence unfolds. Earthy nuances, bitter herbs, damp moss, mineral stone, old wood, subtle smokiness and a dry, melancholic, crawling warmth as well ......? Can that be, down here?

Last Season is a fragrance of transition - a welcome; it prepares the unprepared.
I really enjoy it when a fragrance approaches me with a backpack full of mysteries, which seems to be the case here. At the very least, it seems to call my certainties into question. Difficult at first, but ultimately always rewarding.
