Thanks to dear Don, I got my hands on samples of "Mercedes - Le Parfum"... I was very pleased about that. But actually, as an employee of Mercedes, I shouldn't be evaluating these fragrances due to "bias";-)! Nevertheless, let's give it a try! Scenting and ionization in our vehicles is becoming an increasingly important topic, even though it is still in its infancy. Anyway, it was first presented in the new S-Class two years ago. It smelled really good... but honestly, nobody really needs it;-)! The previous Mercedes fragrances also didn't really convince me, so I approached this one with skepticism.
Le Parfum starts off quite nicely, a fresh-fruity bergamot-mandarin mix with a good dose of pepper on top, which is pleasant and familiar. But they can write "Parfum" on it a hundred times and seemingly add Oud... it doesn't change the fact that this is a pure mainstream scent that finds its place next to the other MB fragrances... namely in Douglas. It's really not bad, but it honestly makes my feet want to fall asleep... simply because I've smelled it so many times already!
As it develops, it strongly reminds me of Bvlgari's Aqua and Amara. There, too, the synthetic maritime touch has been pressed in, and once again, yawn... because nothing, except for ammonia, I like less in fragrances than this shower gel freshness. Every second men's fragrance at Douglas/Müller smells like this... unfortunately.
Behind it, there is a minimal saffron note hidden, which makes the scent softer and creamier. After an hour, I can perceive woods and resins. This heart note can reconcile me for half an hour without significantly improving the overall result or impression. Nice... yes... nothing more, there are definitely better options for the price... I think of the refill of Sacred Wood or the Wood series from Dsquared. It goes in the direction of the Intense, even though it has received a bit of "Fahrenheit light".
Conclusion: It might be a fun gag to accompany a car purchase as a birthday or Christmas gift, but the scent itself doesn't convince me, just like the previous Mercedes fragrances. The longevity is okay at 5 hours, but it's rather the lower limit for an EDP. The sillage is average and can be placed in the range of Bvlgari fragrances. For me, it’s a disappointment, even though I didn't expect anything... but I admit, Don's 100% did give me a little hope... hmm...
If the perfume were a car, it would be a run-of-the-mill car in retirement silver, you see thousands of them on the streets, no one turns to look at the car, and it's now available for cheap....

Grins - it's always fascinating how differently we use percentages for ratings :-! Nice informative comment with not unexpected content! Rusty trophy :-)

I’m waiting for the special edition, including the bobblehead dachshund and the intricately crocheted toilet paper roll cover in retiree camo khaki :-)
