After "Le Parfum" performed decently for me, without really exciting me, I was only moderately curious about what the ladies' line from Mercedes had to offer.
What came out of the sprayer I would categorize as nice, quite okay, pleasant, not bad. You can certainly notice the absence of any emotions right away. This already wraps up a fragrance test for me, but thanks to the nice sample promotion from Don, I want to pull myself together and see if I can at least provide an informative comment.
"Rose" actually starts off quite pleasantly, a fresh-bitter grapefruit combined with a fresh, feminine rose without any thorns and a hint of cedarwood. This can be quite appealing, but it feels like it's been done a thousand times already. I immediately think of Dior Homme Cologne, L'Eau Declaration by Cartier, and Tres Fraiche by Hermes, plus a smooth and soulless rose. That's roughly how you can imagine it. Fresh-fruity-floral-woody... well, nothing really unpleasant could come out of that, but also nothing more. A harmless, mild everyday scent for the office that doesn't stand out, that doesn't polarize. For perfume lovers who want something a bit more than just deodorant but at the same time don't want to be strongly noticed, this fragrance is a good choice. However, I believe you can get such a scent cheaper... for example, at the Bodyshop!
For me, "Rose" lasts quite well, 5 hours are definitely in there, which is absolutely fine for this fragrance category. The sillage is subtle and a bit more than skin-close. A solid scent that doesn't do anything wrong, but also somehow comes off as sterile. For me, it's a pure women's fragrance for young and old. There's not much more to say about this bore.

Ps. I'm glad that our cars evoke more emotions, have more love in the details; if the scent were a car, it would be an A170 gasoline model with manual transmission.

I'm always happy when my wishlist doesn't get longer, :-). And since I don't drive a Mercedes, I don't have to smell like one either. There!

Don't need to have it; harmless and tame just isn't enough to trigger a buying impulse. :-)

"Stick to what you know..." - Maybe it's better suited as a car air freshener? :-)

Boring sums it up pretty well after the first sniff... But it's definitely a W169, right? ;-)))
