It starts off just as one would hope - citrusy, lively, slightly tea-like, and invigorating. You feel clean, ready for the day. Many citrus fruits, a few aromas, and you’re already satisfied. Typically, this doesn’t last long, but here I can report with minimal application on skin and a bit more on clothing: the longevity is far better than, for example, Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes Eau de Parfum. And the nice thing is that it retains this fresh tea note with the lemon for about 3-4 hours.
After this phase, it dries down to something slightly sweet and aromatic. You get subtle spiciness from the cinnamon and a few woods. The tea remains, but the lemon has dried out. I like that; the DNA is still recognizable.
I would say the day was a little better because of this fragrance. Now, 14 hours after application, it is still clearly detectable. The sillage is quite flat after 2 hours, yes. But from my perspective, this is one of the fairest deals from the house. Even though this dreadful bottle with the bottomless sprayer is a bit annoying…
The longevity is actually a positive aspect and makes up for the bottle itself with the pleasant scent. 😄
Great review! Especially with the comparison.
