I had this impractical mini pouch sample from Mexx that you have to tear open and almost squeeze to get any liquid out. I wanted to finally get rid of it since it not only had a negative reputation but the scent also screamed for a bad review. But it turned out differently than expected, and Mexx Energizing Woman is an acceptable fragrance; my girlfriend even liked it.
It starts fruity, zesty, and somewhat floral-sweet. Not naive or childish, but still very young, modern, and fresh. Fruits like apple, orange, melon, and raspberry are the stars in the ring but never too overpowering. So fruity can really only be a sport fragrance. If there is a rose in there, it never exceeds the cheapest shampoo quality. The dry-down with musky woods becomes thicker and mustier, losing its sporty motivation and zest for life, and it also loses some appeal for me.
Bottle: quite dull and pragmatic
Sillage: sporty and discreet
Longevity: a good 6-7 hours.
A nice revitalizing shower and sport scent that doesn't really go beyond celebrity fragrance level, but it also doesn't hurt anyone. For unpretentious female athletes on a tight budget of any age!
