I also have some memories associated with this scent. It's funny to read that others feel the same way. :) My mom used to wear it all the time and often received it as a gift; I really liked the scent on her. It smelled so grown-up, so confident, so "she knows what she wants." At some point, she got tired of it and bought another perfume; as far as I know, Mexx never found its way back into her collection.
Now, about 15 years later, I discovered this fragrance for myself. It is a fresh, sparkling composition, and I can clearly smell the blackcurrant. It then becomes a bit more floral, but to be honest, I can't really perceive a great development of the scent on my skin. If I had discovered champagne or something like that in the pyramid, I wouldn't have been surprised. But it's probably the lemon that provides the pleasant zest. The sillage is close to the body, which is why Mexx Woman is also recommended as an office scent by my predecessors. It doesn't annoy anyone; it's present, allows for a well-groomed sniff, but doesn't overwhelm anyone. Unfortunately, the longevity isn't the best - after two or three hours, I can no longer perceive it, but since the bottle isn't too expensive, a re-spray is in order. ;-)
Conclusion: A very feminine fragrance from the drugstore that smells much more elegant than one might expect. The perfume has recognizability and is suitable for both summer and winter.
