Through the simple, elegant bottles, the brand has caught my attention lately.. even if "Mirko Buffini" sounds like something completely different.. there is a happier name choice. Saba has already proven to be a delicious scent, even though it became a bit too sweet for me with the wear time and I am already well-stocked in that direction. A great tea scent as Gucci PH II is supposed to be here? Bam.. once again made a blind purchase.. even though those rarely work out for me. So for the first 5 minutes, MU smells like a great(re) Fahrenheit Cologne variant, which I unfortunately couldn't appreciate much last year. One has to imagine it as a fresher, slightly watery Fahrenheit top note, with violets immediately and distinctly noticeable, unfortunately here without the gasoline note. Quickly, a very aromatic, dry tea note joins in, which indeed reminds one of Gucci II, but only briefly, as the slight sweetness could just as well remind one of Lutens 5 o'clock. Like a black tea (few tannins) sweetened with just a little brown cane sugar. This phase can easily please. There is also something floral lingering around.. hard to categorize, but it gives a slightly feminine touch, where it still belonged to men in the first 5-10 minutes. In the background, there is something spicy lurking, which rather reminds less of woods, more balsamic-soft and with a slight creaminess. A bright wood base would have sharpened the contours of MU a bit, giving it some edge. As it is, it bids farewell rather gently, softly, mildly, and quietly. In summary, a very nice scent, a great feel-good fragrance with beautiful aromas, but to me, it is a bit too shy in its essence, which I could very well imagine on women, though it is still unisex. On average, the scent lasted 5-6 hours on me, which is okay, the sillage is more for the quiet moments in life.. more about slowing down than the vibrant life. I only know 3 scents from Buffini (Gods, Saba, MU), but so far they all have been characterized by a certain "quality," they really come across as very premium.
That sounds exciting, especially since Aqua Fahrenheit is becoming rare. I find the calm Fahrenheit variations interesting anyway - Enjoy-the-silence trophy.
