Rose of 1001 Nights
For me, as someone who does not particularly enjoy oriental-inspired fragrances, it is not easy to give a neutral comment...
However, since I believe this is not a run-of-the-mill "Oud Rose scent," I will try to describe the fragrance as precisely and without judgment as possible...
Upon spraying, the rose is immediately present. The rose is noble, valuable, and vibrantly dark red...
With the rose comes a slightly synthetic-alcoholic note that quickly fades away...
...also present is a spicy note. In my opinion, it is more than just the pink pepper listed in the fragrance pyramid... It could be cardamom... The spiciness is very subtle and does not overshadow the noble rose...
A slight soapiness is also noticeable...
The fragrance becomes warmer, and a fine oud joins in... the oud is not so strong that it would overpower the rose... it rather goes hand in hand with the rose and gives it enough space...
If I could/would like oud, I think I would also enjoy this fragrance... Definitely worth a try for oud and rose fans!
