Fiery Pink Pepper Pink Pepperpod Molton Brown 2014 Eau de Toilette

Nostalgic Scent
A gift set from Molton Brown lay under the Christmas tree, beautifully wrapped with a velvet bow. Body lotion, shower gel, and eau de toilette were all there, looking at me with their prints reminiscent of Harry Potter, slightly nostalgic in order to capture maximum attention. And it works. With determination, I reached for the small eau de toilette and indulged my wrist with the first spray. Ohhhhlala, pink pepper and freesia give a striking yet gentle tone, as if they have always lived in symbiosis together. Accompanying them are the elemihart and a ripe mandarin from Southern Italy. Ah, how beautiful the world is up here. In the heart note, I predominantly perceive the rose and ginger, very subtle yet long-lasting, almost soothing, as if they have made it their mission to charm all fragrance lovers, until in the drydown the woods announce their presence, pouring forth into the finality. Generally, such scents come my way rather rarely, as it belongs to the spicy-fresh category according to the description. And I am indeed a gourmand noodle. Yet something about it draws me in. Am I currently expanding my olfactory senses, or does this little water remind me of some experience, an encounter, or am I just having a déjà vu?
I am strongly reminded of Dad and how wonderfully we sang together. Yes Dad, it's been a long time and you have been gone from us for so long. The memories fade, yet every time I sing, you are present, as if you never left. Everything is energy. Right, Dad?
The story of Molton apparently began in 1971 with a hair salon at 58 South Molton Street in London, from which new creations and developments continuously emerged. Definitely a newcomer that I will subject to a thorough scent examination.
