Multifaceted, elegant, and refined

At the beginning, I would like to share what I read in another large perfume forum about the composition of Le Chic. A member reported that the packaging of a tester of Le Chic listed different fragrance notes than those we find here at parfumo or in that other forum ... namely:

Mango, Peach, Black Currant
Lily of the Valley, Lily, Ylang-Ylang, Gardenia, Jasmine, Iris
Amberwood, Sandalwood, Cedar, Vanilla, Musk

To me, this sounds consistent, as I can clearly smell Ylang. I also sense Mango and believe I can recognize Jasmine and Lily as well.

Since I am not very experienced in the vast world of fragrances and do not possess any lyrical or literary skills, I describe my feelings about Le Chic in my simple, concise words.

To me, this is a rather unsweet, almost dry, spicy floral chypre, in which I perceive the fruits initially at the opening and then again towards the end. It begins almost opulently with an exceptionally exciting, completely unfamiliar composition of exotic fruit and spicy Ylang, intertwined with other fine floral essences.

As it develops, it loses its fruitiness at first and develops a distinct but not overwhelming Ylang emphasis. I perceive the scent from here on as slightly dry, probably because the woods become more noticeable without standing out as woody.

A very light soapiness develops along with a very subtle sweetness that remains more in the background. Towards the end, I can recognize a bit of fruitiness again.

I find it difficult to provide a detailed description and analysis of this scent. I perceive it as very "sophisticated" and elegant, almost aristocratic. In any case, I envision a classically dressed woman in front of me - perhaps even a businesswoman during a presentation - as the scent has nothing playful or youthful about it.

I experience Le Chic as a multifaceted, exciting, high-quality, and almost noble fragrance. Nevertheless, I find it not entirely easy to warm up to it, which could be due to the fact that I have not dealt with chypre fragrances before and am drawn to softer, powdery-warm floral and oriental scents. For me, Le Chic is absolute new territory, and I am currently enjoying our cautious and still slightly distanced getting to know each other.

Since this comment hasn't been automatically translated into English yet, I can write directly in German: I can really imagine this scent now. Everyone describes fragrance notes differently. And you don't always have romantic or funny ideas about a scent. At least I don't. Those ideas can't always be understood by others or might hit too close to home.
