Isn't it nice!
Axolute starts off very fresh and zesty, but also subtly sour and somehow fruity.
Our dear perfumer "Verbena" sent me her remaining sample, giving me the opportunity to test this fragrance, for which I want to express my sincere thanks.
First, one can sniff a very authentic lemon, which even has a slight fruity nuance and comes across as quite robust - sour.
The herbal bergamot acts in the background and beautifully complements the freshness of the lemon in a pleasant way.
And then there is something very soft - woody to sniff, which in this case comes from the cedar and fits wonderfully into the top note.
This constellation can be detected for about 20 minutes on my skin before the heart note takes over.
The fresh facet from the top note is also beautifully preserved in the heart note.
Lemony, slightly bitter ginger can be sniffed, where one also feels that the ginger with peel has been drizzled into the creation.
In the background, one can detect a lovely, soft, very light orangey floral nuance, which in this case comes from the orange blossom, although it must be said that this note is more of a hint.
And here too, the soft - woody characteristic of the cedar has been very pleasantly integrated, making one simply think:
"Isn't it nice!:-)
The heart note can be detected for a good 4.5 hours on my skin before the base asserts itself.
Thanks to the musk notes, this becomes something very pleasantly clear, without drifting into soapy or similar territory.
At the same time, this soft - woody characteristic of the cedarwood can also be detected in the base, which is simply and mundanely underscored by the very subtle bitter - sweet - earthy vetiver.
Overall, the fragrance can be detected for 7 hours on my skin.
Unfortunately, the sillage is a bit weak, so one is only perceived at about a quarter of an arm's length, and this remains the case until the fragrance fades.
