Wallflower
In the shadow of all the patchouli giants, this fragrance leads a rather unnoticed existence so far. Unjustly, in my opinion. When in doubt, Patchouly Leaves can effortlessly charm even the most stuffy and self-satisfied blowhard back into their place. The secret lies in the versatility with which this wallflower has sensitively dedicated itself to the fundamental theme of patchouli.
While the opening is still spicy and has a slightly tarry freshness, the fragrance spectrum gradually undergoes a gentle transformation over time, moving towards a liqueur-like softness. This exciting balance gives Patchouly Leaves an overall warm, balsamic hue. At times, the scent glows softly reddish on the skin, and towards the end, a restrained, citrusy sharpness is noticeable again.
The longevity of Patchouly Leaves certainly does not break any known dimensions, but I don't find that particularly tragic. Much more important to me is that the fragrance never loses any of its quality - even the close-to-skin finale remains free of synthetic imprint.
Well done, I can only say! Of all the Monothemes, this one is by far my favorite, a little low-budget buying tip.

Great comment. I'm not really into patchouli, but I definitely need to check out the brand more closely.

My wife always says "cat pee" when it comes to patchouli. It's heartbreaking.

Unfortunately, this scent is almost impossible to find. I'll bring it back from Italy if I can.
