An Oud Fragrance!

I wanted to write my very first review of this fragrance because there are no statements or other reviews or comments available.

Saffron was a blind buy for me, as it is available for under 20 euros and I was interested in a saffron scent. I saw the fragrance notes, which are only very vague indications, to be honest: "woody notes," "fruity notes," "spices," etc. That’s why I had imagined a completely different scent than the one I ultimately held in my hand and under my nose. I expected the usual suspects of sandalwood and cedarwood among the woody notes, but I was quickly enlightened from the very first spray: Oud! My first Oud fragrance!
I obviously have no great knowledge of Oud; I’m not even sure if I really like it. However, I suspect that this is a "tame" or gentle Oud, as I couldn’t detect any of the dreaded stable scents that are often mentioned in connection with Oud.

I can also clearly smell the saffron, which brings a wonderful spiciness to the scent, especially as a heart note, alongside the "floral notes," in which I believe I can detect a rose, but not a strong, cloying one, rather a more subtle one. The rest of the fragrance is much sweeter than expected; I can still distinctly smell a resinous/smoky note that is not listed here.

All in all, it is an oriental-spicy, sweet Oud-rose-saffron fragrance with a lush sillage and very long-lasting wear, which is available at a very low price.
I would find it very interesting to see how it compares to other similar but often more expensive fragrances, if anyone can report on that.

Great first comment you wrote 👍.
The Monotheme can definitely compete with high-priced rivals.
But if there's Oud in it, then only in homeopathic doses 😉
Otherwise, the scent might just fade away 😊
