King of the shoulder pads
Growing up as a teenager in the 80s I know how broad shoulders can be if you get help from pads. Claude Montana taught me. Listening to music by Duran Duran and Grace Jones and looking at pictures and posters at that time convinced me that this was the cool way to look. Watching 'Dynasty' on TV made me even more assured. The trend was kick started by Vivenne Westwood and Claude Montana. Do not hesitate to dive into the history of one of the Power Designers of the 80s - you will not be disapointed.
In 1986 he released his to die for 'Parfum de Peau'. I saw the ads and decided that one day I had to have this, simply for the gorgeous bottle. The juice is also amazing. When I saw 'Claude Montana' I knew that I had to have that too. The bottle again is something else and the fragrance is far more wearable considering today's standards. I love the heart the most. It becomes quite clear after 15 minutes, and it has a gorgeous mix of rose and wood. The duration of the fragrance is not the best I have experienced, though. It is totally gone after 4-5 hours, which I find a bit too swift.
