Very helpful Review

It's simply this DNA. I know it. Even if I may have never owned it myself, I've often smelled it and I like it. I want it!
Mont Blanc Explorer has it!
At least a sample of it. And that is my problem!
Imagine it's a hot summer day and you're sitting in a restaurant in front of a really great pizza, of course with garlic. Then comes the thirst, the craving, and the desire for an ice-cold drink. Waiter, a cola please. And it arrives. The best drink you've ever had, you think. But then comes the catch: it's only 0.2 liters. Three sips and the bottle is empty.
What remains is the desire for more.
And that's exactly what Explorer describes best for me.
My daughter has a blast spraying different scents on paper strips during my perfumery excursions and holding them up to my nose. And she did just that with Explorer. I had actually never considered the scent and smelled the strip completely unbiased.
--> Boom!
That's it, this wonderful DNA that I'm looking for! Blind buy!
At home the next day, the first real test:
Applied and right into the fresh opener, which fades after a few minutes and reveals exactly what I expect: The scent of the big brother, whose name we need not mention.
I keep smelling my wrist, enjoying it. But I also long for more... For a higher dose. And that feeling remains. There is a constant desire for a more intense experience of what Mont Blanc Explorer promises me.
After about 3 hours, it's over. I can't smell it on my skin anymore. The clothing holds it a bit longer, but for an EDP, in my opinion, it's too little.
What a shame. The Explorer could have had great adventures with me. Even up to the signature... But unfortunately, it's too little of everything for me. Great scent, fantastic bottle, fairly priced, poor sillage, and poor longevity.
Is that all bad?
Not necessarily.
Explorer is a fantastic gym scent. If you want to smell good spontaneously for a limited time, but not too overpoweringly, this is perfect. Just for a meeting and in the evening maybe in the mood for a different scent? Explorer!
Just for someone who wants this special DNA, but in a measured way.
If you, like me, want more, then go for Club de Nuit Intense EDT. Because that's exactly what I wished Explorer would be.
