The Most Beautiful Toothpaste Smile

I bought this fragrance blindly from Notino. And let's be honest, how often do we let ourselves be influenced by social media and then think that a scent, just because it sounds so grand in the descriptions of others, must also suit us? Personally, I tend to advise against blind purchases. Because as tempting as a fragrance description may be, in the end, we are all quite particular about our perceptions. What is a fragrance dream for one person might be a fragrance nightmare for another.

Signature by Montblanc has been described by many as a cream cake with a hint of clementine. But that's not entirely accurate. Anyone who conjures a cream cake from musk and vanilla is, in my opinion, a charlatan. The true star here is the clementine, which accompanies all the nuances throughout the development. So it's more of a fruity fragrance. And then there are the floral notes, which certainly do not shy away from lingering in the background.

But what brings about a love-hate relationship for me with this fragrance is this constant cool, almost menthol-like touch. I have no idea if it's due to the ylang-ylang (Soleil Blanc has this synthetic cold as well), but it feels like I’m being laid on ice. Still, it’s a lovely sweet scent that smells a bit like fruity body lotion, but with a little twist.

If the fragrance were a person, it would be a dental assistant. Totally well-groomed, in her pastel-colored work attire, super nice and pretty. When she leans over to put on a bib for you, you catch a whiff of her floral, creamy perfume, along with that typical dentist smell that lingers throughout the practice. That cool, clean scent.

I personally like the perfume, but it is simply not what it claims to be. Whether I find this specific association good or bad, opinions differ for me. It depends on the day. In any case, it is a fragrance for warm days when you could use that cool refreshment.

I feel the same way about the scent as you do. In summer/when it's warm, I find it much better than in winter.

I totally notice this coolness too. It reminds me a bit of those crystal-colored ice candies. I'm also ambivalent about this scent, probably because I was expecting something warm and soft...

Oh yes, me too. Because of this coolness, it's a bit sharp; I imagined it to be much softer and warmer.
