Classic Eau de Cologne...
... and an equally classic Chypre.
This is the first scent from Morris Profumi that has come under my nose. Another representative of the exceedingly affordable unknown Italians, for which I have truly developed a fondness. I wouldn't be surprised if it is still sold in the "bending zone" of some drugstore in Italy.
A citrusy opening, as expected, but also with a pronounced spiciness that surely comes from verbena (one of my favorite ingredients). The transition to the heart note happens rather quickly, dominated by a beautiful natural rose. Then, as also not surprising, a subtly herbal finish.
So, nothing new under the sun. I didn't expect that at all. My expectation to discover a clean and naturally made classic Cologne was fully met. This is how unobtrusive freshness works. Naturally perfect for spring/early summer.
Longevity and sillage are not world-class, rather typical for an EdC. Given the small amount of money asked for this fragrance, it is quite bearable.
