Who still remembers ...

... Viva di Tosca?

I still remember it well, as I had just moved to the Rhineland in the nineties and felt quite out of place there.

I had always been a fan of "Tosca," which you could reliably find in our family, so I trusted Viva as well.
And my trust was rewarded.

It is different from the "original," but equally beautiful.
Just the name "Tosca" calmed me, far from home, and brought me close to my dear family.
I supported this by gifting Viva to my mom, aunt, cousin, and the friends who stayed at home.
The feedback was positive, except for the friend who criticized the sweetness in the fragrance.
Surprising, because Viva strikes me primarily as slightly bitter - smoky, underlined by spicy notes.
Warm temperament.
The sweetness only gradually mixes in, no, it rather hovers above, and is wonderfully honeyed.
A scent that conveys warmth, familiarity, yes, home.

Now I am back home, and I am grateful that Viva has always been like a good friend by my side.

Better to have pockets without money - than to be without a friend in the world.
