Contemplation in Complexity
Yes, COMPLEX is exactly the right word. NOT "cumbersome," even though there are many interwoven ingredients present. These can sometimes be perceived as "duos," "trios," "quartets," and rarely even "singles." Patience is also required here. The fragrance must slowly unfold to avoid remaining static, instead continually transforming. It stays true to its oriental identity WITHOUT fulfilling a specific cliché.
Well, I don't need to be "brave" to call "Desert Oud" a character fragrance. Just as a person embodies "lovely" and "edgy"-lighter and darker-serious and cheerful-etc.-traits, this perfume reveals a whole "universe" of characteristics. Some are subtle and underlying, while others are distinct and transparent.
At first, it might be a "fruity scent," as it brims with all sorts of native and exotic elements, but in the next moment, a "floral" note may emerge, featuring various blossoms from gardenia to rose to jasmine.
In the meantime, it is spiced with "strict" greens like artemisia, "powdery" notes like styrax, and "spicy" elements like clove, pepper, and allspice. Hardly a nuance is left out.
There are also hints of wood and "sea"… as if the coast of an enchanted forest is not far away. Quite subtle, shaped like transparent water-what "blue"-delightfully fresh.
At the same time, it seems to emanate from the deepest underbrush. Grass? Earth? Surely everything that smells "balsamic." Fine smoke from afar… a floral interlude… juicy fruits-passing by and returning. "Bright shadows" and "dark light"?
Or is it the other way around? Well, I enjoy indulging and being inclined towards all these delightful scents.
Contemplating, dreaming, and feeling good! :-))

Oud is incredibly versatile, and this seems to prove it once again. Enjoyed reading it!
