The Liquid Me or: And It Made a Zoom
Almost a year ago, when I rediscovered my love for fragrances after a long abstinence, I shockingly fell in love with the red Narciso, which was included as a large sample with an order. I was fascinated by this seductive powdery musk scent and soon ordered it; shortly after, Musc Noir, Pure Musc, and For Her EdT followed. I liked these at first, but after wearing them for a while, I found the musk too oppressive, loud, and artificial. The For Her EdT even gave me severe headaches and nausea. So these fragrances moved out again, and I was satisfied with Narciso for the time being. That wasn’t a problem, as I had the wonderful "Red."
Now I kept reading about the "For Her EdP," that it was softer and quieter than the sister in the black garment. I remained skeptical and continued to ignore it. The encounter with the "black sister" was still too shocking in my memory. One must give the Narciso fragrances credit - they certainly leave no one indifferent. Whether in a positive or negative sense.
But the scent wouldn’t let go, it kept popping up. During a city stroll, curiosity finally won, and I sprayed it on - first on my wrist, as that can be quickly washed off if necessary. But what was that? A wonderfully powdery soft scent cloud rose to my nose. Generously, I also sprayed it on my neck and left the store grinning. I walked on cloud nine and was smitten - this is it! This is MY scent!
The fragrance opens with an intense floral, slightly sparkling note that lasts about half an hour on me. I can’t pinpoint exact scent notes; everything is beautifully blended and softened together. Then this irresistible subtle powderiness develops, which defines the scent, paired with the most beautiful musk. Not a dry vintage powder, but a very modern, youthful, and wearable interpretation. Fresh and well-groomed, very very feminine, and subtly incredibly sexy and alluring. The musk here, unlike in the EdT, doesn’t come in with a sledgehammer but forms a wonderful symbiosis with the flowers, doesn’t scream "here I am," but holds back elegantly. But it stays. And stays. And stays. I am head over heels in love. I want to snuggle into it, bathe in it, be with it forever.
After testing over 300 fragrances, most of them this year, I have smelled many things that I liked, even things that "flashed" me, as they say in modern language. But there was none that struck my heart so much that I can say, "Yes, this is how I want to smell. This is completely me."
With Narciso For Her EdP, Kurkdjian has truly created a masterpiece in my eyes. A sensually feminine fragrance that caresses delicate women for every occasion and throughout the year.
