..this time I changed the office joke a bit and turned it upside down.
For Him had been on my testing list for a while, even though Musc for Him did not convince me at all, but anything with Kurkdjian's name on it I have to test. Unfortunately, two weeks ago at Müller the tester was empty, and that resulted in a Shalimar purchase (but let's just make a big detour around that topic;-)).
I was all the more curious about the decant of Hasi & Mrs. Piggy from For Her. Especially since Mrs. Nagel was involved, who had previously excited me about the Lalique products..especially White! So the combination of Nagel-Kurkdjian..it simply had to be good.
It was not only good, but simply outstanding. A women's fragrance in which I could almost lie down to absorb it with all my senses..yes, to soak it up.
Wonderful zesty bergamot and osmanthus form the very lively opening. Osmanthus gives a non-citrusy fresh note..even slightly aquatic. The Different Company has dedicated an entire perfume to this note, which I found, similar to Kurkdjian's Acqua series, to be far too little as a scent..as a full-fledged perfume. Here it seems very concentrated to me and creates a beautiful contrast to the citrusy bergamot right from the start.
Just a few minutes later, For Her gets a creamy-powdery floral touch. This note is the heart of this fragrance..it remains the defining and characterizing note throughout. Musk merely adds the necessary depth, making it more dimensional..i.e., the fragrance appears more complex and lasts longer, and the wonderful blend of fragrance notes feels very dense and lush, which can be clearly seen from the excellent sillage. This will completely fill a car or the office with 2-3 sprays..I still can't imagine an overdose with this scent, as the fragrance notes smell too noble, too expensive, and high-quality...they seem intense to me but not overpowering...unless you reapply the scent in the elevator;-)
If the creamy orange blossom were not quite so feminine and the musk a tad stronger, For Her could also be worn by men. But the orange blossom becomes too floral and creamy-powdery (I'll refrain from the inflationary comparison with Dior Homme at this point).
No matter..it does say that it is for women..men can just stick to that..men only need a clear message(s) and then they know what's what;-).
In the end, For Her even becomes slightly cool without being able to name which fragrance note (mini lily of the valley note?) is responsible for it..because I can't detect vetiver, and vanilla certainly not..that would be more of a warm note.
For Her is a wonderful perfume that is ideal for autumn and winter. Even today, with a gray sky and damp, cold 12 degrees, there can hardly be a better choice. Therefore, the 100% is obviously due...and let's see if there will be a new tester for For Him next week!?!
I just rated your comment highly, I really like the EdT that I just received as a gift. But I've never seen lily of the valley with 2 k before.
