In my teenage years, I received a perfume as a gift, the now-discontinued "Emporio Armani City Glam for Her | Giorgio Armani." Loudly sweet, intrusive, and plum-like, my 14-year-old self was in love and practically bathed in this scent! (a belated "I'm sorry!" to my surroundings) Of course, we all grow older, our fragrance preferences change, and today I wouldn't want to smell like that anymore, but... The top note of For Her Musc Noir Rose, there it is again, the plum! Just like back then, I am enveloped by a sweet, fruity scent that brings a smile to my face purely out of nostalgia. But there's more happening here! The plum, which I can perceive very well throughout the entire development, becomes darker, creamier, gently enveloped by vanilla and subtle musk. It doesn't push itself to the forefront but rather combines with the other components to create a scent that feels thoroughly harmonious to me. Despite the name, I don't notice any rose, but I don't miss it in this composition either. This is not a little girl’s fragrance; I find it very feminine and elegant, grown-up, and contrary to the name, also suitable for daytime wear. It wraps me in a cocoon of confidence and whispers softly in my ear during stressful situations, "You can do it!"
Sprayed on in the morning, it accompanies me throughout the day, although I admit that after a few hours, it's only perceptible up close. But whenever I happen to sniff my wrist again, the thought comes to me, "Plum, we have grown up."
Being old is really a matter of perspective😁
