Ravi Naso di Raza 2017

Orange liqueur and a fresh cigar
The amazing thing about fragrances is its ability to transport the person wearing it or those around them to a specific memory, even if they've never smelled that specific fragrance before. For me, Ravi brought back memories of my mom enjoying her favorite after-dinner drink, a French Connection #2 (equal parts orange liqueur and cognac). The orange, rum, and cinnamon come together to form this scent profile, and added to it is a great soft tobacco accord, more of the scent of entering a walk-in humidor than a lit cigar. What's weird is that there is a smoky note in here, but it doesn't really blend with the tobacco note, it smells more like charcoal or even a barbecue. The drydown gets a bit more soapy, floral, and resinous. All in all, another winner from Mme. Zarokian!
