Dichotomy of a perfume

Nasomatto,
You live up to your name. Whether that's good or bad is a minor matter. Unlike Black Afgano Extrait de Parfum, I can't stand the opening. It's a slap in the face for me. It reminds me of a man who pretends to be a gentleman, a good lover and a "connoisseur of the extraordinary", but then sits alone in front of his 7 whiskey glasses every evening and can't admit to himself that his appearance and self-confidence are just a farce. It smells alcoholic, intense and pungent and the sillage is bombastic. The drydown, however, takes you gently in its arms. What was previously pungent and aggressive now loses its power and the strong alcoholic note resonates pleasantly. It becomes sweeter and honey and vanilla come to the fore and take over the stage. The aggressiveness and strong presence is no longer noticeable, only the smell of a whiskey barrel remains, noble and mature. It is now romantic and seductive and only changes in overall intensity until the end!

I don't know if I love it or hate it. One of the few fragrances where I am torn between opening and drydown.
In my opinion, the fragrance itself is a work of art. The dichotomy of the opening and the drydown gives the fragrance incredible versatility.
I've never loved drydowns so much when I couldn't really smell the opening.
I am fascinated. What a rollercoaster ride!
