Childhood toys as a fragrance
Even though I'm 36 and wouldn't want to be a teenager or a child again, I enjoy cute, girly, nostalgic things tremendously, especially perfumes that evoke that feeling. Moon Flower does just that. So much that it can feel a bit too blatantly cutesy to actually wear, but I still like it!
It smells like fizzy raspberry and cherry candies, sweet almond, powdery violet and creamy caramel, all on a base of scented plastic toys from the 90s. I often get a bit of a doll-head notes from fragrances with almond or heliotrope, but this takes the My Little Pony scent to a new level.
The opaque pink bottle matches the scent perfectly.

It's funny that this is marketed as a 100% natural fragrance and smells so delightfully plasticy. What does "natural" even mean in this context?
Anyways, if you're looking for something very girly and playful with an additional childhood throwback, this is absolutely worth the 14,95 €.

Timelessness in a Square
Moon-Flower forces me to rethink my previous relationship with fragrances. For example, it raises the question of what kind of symbiosis exists between quality and price. Is there, moreover, a kind of etiquette for the perfume wearer?
Am I young, so I wear sweet? Am I old, so I wear bitter? Come on! Do you really believe that my age determines my preferences? And if I apparently look older, should I turn my back on the honey pot? Am I therefore overdoing it?

I am now putting an end to this box-thinking once and for all! Moon Flower is my fragrance! By my age, I should be classified as "mature." I don't care. I love opulent sweetness, damn right! I fell shockingly in love with this absolutely perfect raspberry caramel - feel-good scent with a powdery-sweet base in seconds. Moon Flower suggests to my mind's eye a kind of vanilla sundae, enriched with lots of whipped cream, raspberries, and Amarena cherries. The crowning glory is the caramel topping. Full, sweet, powdery, creamy.
By the way, it was recommended to me by a very lovely fragrance enthusiast here on Parfumo. Among her carefully selected fragrance samples was this gem. Without a moment's hesitation, I entered into an immediate love affair with Moon Flower and ordered it the same day. Its pastel-colored dress, its price, and its lovingly naturally selected ingredients almost embarrass me. I would spend a fortune on it! How can it be that this jewel is so inexpensive? And how is it that I can perceive it for quite a long time despite all its advantages? Questions upon questions. The fact is. It is. All of that.

Never again cliché thinking. Never again categorizing. Never again prejudices.
We love what we are. Whether old or young, black or white, fat or thin. It doesn't matter. Our olfactory senses are timeless. They do not age. They do not see. They feel.

What did Antoine say again?

… "What is essential is invisible to the eye."

This is what unicorn farts must smell like!
Moon Flower hides in a delicate pink bottle, and I think that's quite fitting. It is a scent like a fluffy, pink cloud of unicorn farts: soft, innocent, delicate, and somehow it evokes strong associations with "My Little Pony" in me. Someone wrote here that Moon Flower smells like those perfumed plastic dolls that used to exist (and probably still can be found in toy stores - until political correctness finally bans fluffy-scented little dolls in pink dresses, forcing little girls to play in the future with "My Little Football Hooligan," "My Little Nuclear Weapons Laboratory," or "My Little Plumbing Workshop"). I can only agree, that's exactly how it smells. Cherry-like, almondy, reminiscent of Christmas baking and semolina pudding with hot cherries and raspberries, along with a hint of rosy violet fairy dust and a light lipstick note. However, it has nothing vampish about it; it smells more like this fragrant little girl cosmetics. All in all, the scent of childhood and a perfect world.
Moon Flower strikes me as the perfect weapon against a gray, gloomy November day, a sweet, innocent whisper that carries you on pink cotton candy clouds even through the nastiest, most uncomfortable day filled with grumpy fellow humans. I can also imagine it well on very young girls who want their first perfume at eleven, twelve, or thirteen. Parents need not worry that it would come off as lolita-like or sexually provocative, because Moon Flower is as innocent as an almond cookie from the doll kitchen. And it's hard to overdo it; it's really just a hint of fragrance that quickly dissipates. On me, a sarcastic goth girl with raven-black hair and humor, Moon Flower would probably seem ridiculous, but as a soap, scented candle, bubble bath, etc., I would actually like the smell, as it definitely has something relaxing.
I cannot confirm La Petite Robe Noire as a scent twin. The similarity is definitely there due to the cherry note, but LPRN comes across as the more mature, ladylike, and sultry version of Moon Flower.

and the fairy from the pink cotton candy land whispers to you: "Everything will be alright!"
Welcome to my 22nd perfume Advent calendar door, today featuring Juniper Lane - Moon Flower.

First of all, I think the concepts of Clean Beauty and natural cosmetics are great. The brand Juniper Lane claims to use ingredients that are 100% of natural origin. The products are certified by NATURE.org, vegan, and contain neither mineral oils, preservatives, nor colorants. Furthermore, I read on the packaging that the perfumes are created in Grasse, the French perfume capital, and manufactured in Germany. So far, so commendable.

The packaging also makes a good impression. The artwork is delicate. The slightly raised flowers in soft pink and green tones beautifully complement the golden lettering. The porcelain bottle reminds me of Gucci - Bloom. No one would suspect a cheap drugstore scent here. The only downside is that the spray head could be a bit easier to use; it tends to stick a little.

Once sprayed, the fragrance transports me to a fairy tale land where the trees are made of pink cotton candy and rivers flow with fruity lemonade. It starts subtly fruity with raspberry and cherry aromas over a gentle bed of almond notes. It feels fluffy to plush in its entire consistency, playfully aromatic sweet yet very delicate; I would say innocent. A scent that doesn’t loudly shout: "Here I am!", but rather strikes a soft, romantic tone. It reminds me of a fruitier Kenzo - Amour. It also bears certain similarities to the vanilla-scented plastic figures from the 90s. Swans and ponies with pink glittery hair.

Moon Flower is a fragrance that fits wonderfully into the cold winter season, which I prefer to wear after an evening shower as a wellness, cuddle, and sleep scent. A scent that softly whispers to you: Everything will be alright, I will protect you. Nothing bad will ever happen to you, for all the fairies from the enchanted land watch over your sleep and send you rosy dreams.

If you are looking for a last-minute gift for a young girl or someone who has remained young at heart, or a fragrance that brings a bit of lightness back into these challenging times, definitely give it a try.

I have to head out again soon, into the cold world, and I already know which magical beings will accompany me.

Thank you for reading,

Your Flaconesse

Into the Weekend Feeling!
Well, who still remembers this advertising slogan from the 90s?
Probably quite a few ;)

Now the question arises, what this has to do with the fragrance "Moon Flower" by Juniper Lane.
This question can be answered in just a few lines.

What the name Moon Flower has to do with the scent, I do not know, at most that it sounds kitschy and was probably spat out as a result of several brainstorming sessions by clever marketing people.

I'll just say it as it is.

This perfume smells to me almost 1:1 like a Zott cream yogurt cherry!

It is creamy, fruity, creamy, fluffy, yogurt-like (is that even a word?) ;)

Of course, I am not wearing the fragrance, but my wife is.
However, I really enjoy smelling it on my wife.

One could easily assign the scent to a young target group, if it weren't for this certain clever twist. It's hard to describe, but "Moon Flower" has something about it that makes it totally wearable - even for those over 40.

It may sound strange and some may ask themselves:
"Why would I want to smell like yogurt?"
These are the kinds of questions that are hard to explain.

The EdT radiates this feel-good vibe that makes it almost impossible not to like it.

Sure, one or two might be bothered by the sweetness.

I find "Moon Flower" quite well-balanced; there is neither too much nor too little of anything.
It is on the verge of being unbearable but somehow right in the middle of the eyes and a direct hit.

In any case, the scent will polarize. Those who like fruity sweet/creamy fragrances with a certain lightness will find this really appealing. All others would do better to steer clear.

Floral is not present at all, and powdery is equally absent.

This yogurt-like freshness is truly a curiosity in itself, and I have never smelled anything like it, and hey... I have the craziest "Library of Fragrance" scents at home.
Even "Sugar Cookie," "Birthday Cake," or "Graham Cracker" (just to name a few examples) can't compete with it.

The longevity is quite okay. However, one shouldn't expect more than 3-4 hours. The sillage, on the other hand, is quite pronounced.

The bottle is certainly not a piece of jewelry, but the color of the bottle matches the aforementioned yogurt like a glove.

It should also be mentioned that Juniper Lane advertises that all ingredients in "Moon Flower" are of natural origin and vegan.

I would also like to mention that the flowers advertised on the packaging are purely decorative.
In this perfume, flowers have no recognizable relevance whatsoever.

Then I'm done with my little review of "Moon Flower"

Have a fragrant day :)

Meeting of 1 Danone cherry yogurt
1 Maoam raspberry +
1 grape sugar lollipop from the 90s (UFO shape, pastel).
Is this a joke? Nope. 1 scent.

Rose-powdery marzipan dream. Reminds me of CSP Vanilla Extreme in a softer form. Sleep aid and cuddle scent.

In the cosmetics section, there's Amaretto with a powdered cream topping in a plastic cup. Cheap vanilla-scented candles are lit.

Delicate and fine. Softly scented pink powder. Not loud. Rather subtly sweet. Surprisingly good, I like it. Affordable, natural, great.

Very artificial headache scent! I only smell synthetic cherry, nothing more :( I expected a better fragrance development...

Different than expected, but very almond-heavy and has a gourmand, powdery amaretto-baking aroma!! At some point..
Raspberry and cherry sweeten it up additionally.

Delicious almonds, cherries & caramel give the scent a marzipan sweetness.
The raspberry in the background sparkles fresh like soda.
Love!

Nutty-sweet, cozy, a sweet, protective cocoon, 100% natural, a fantastic alternative to similar comforting scents for about €15.

If you don't expect much, you won't be disappointed. Artificial raspberry-cherry note with almond. Reminds me of kids' lip balms.
