Orange on Musk

Midnight Flower is a fruity-floral perfume. The star here is the note referred to as "sweet orange" in the top. Accompanied by aldehydes, it enters into a dialogue with amber and patchouli and is very delicious. This is where the inherent tension of this fragrance lies. Despite the amber and patchouli, it is not a dark perfume; the musk and the floral cocktail give it a light, bright hue.

To me, it feels rather feminine, hardly unisex anymore. The orange note is quite loud, demands its place, and grumbles when things don't go its way. This does not come across as very elegant and certainly not ladylike. So is it yet another typical Neil Morris hippie perfume? No, not exactly. But very youthful. I would say it's something for the granddaughter of a hippie couple. The scent may not fit in the opera, but it's perfect for a big appearance at McDonald's.

For my taste, however, the musk becomes a bit too prominent as the fragrance develops. It feels cheap, but nice.

So what about McCafé? With a full latte and a rich chocolate cake.
