Great Vetiver Fragrance

Sultan Vetiver is a really nice vetiver fragrance that is very masculine and definitely wearable - IF you like vetiver. I did not find it the least bit challenging to wear.

Two caveats with it though - 1. there is an initial punch in the snout which some people will find challenging. Give it about 30 minutes to dry down and settle. 2. It is a tad bit acrid and musty on the skin. You have to remember that people catch your scent in the air, not by burying their nose on your wrist. That said, keep it in mind if you are planning an intimate moment later.

In the air, it sweetens every so slightly and I also detected a very subtle soapiness. I tested this from a sample. Longevity was about 7 hours. Initial sillage and projection were a good 6' out but quickly reduced to arms length in a little over an hour.

I've put Sultan Vetiver on my want list, but will wait to test the three Guerlain vetivers to see which I like best.

UPDATE: I skipped the Guerlain vetivers because of current reviews about reforumlation, weakness, etc. AND I know they would never be as forward as Sultan Vetiver. It's the king and it's an awesome wear.

Incident Diplomatique (more Masculine leaning than Sultan Vetiver) by Jovoy and Sultan Vetiver are some of the best Vetiver fragrances in My collection
