Sensual Oriental Embrace..
As a fan of "Libre (Eau de Parfum Intense) | Yves Saint Laurent," I had to try this fragrance here, as both scents are often compared in their DNA.
The opening is a saffron explosion that I have never experienced in a fragrance before. Strangely, the opening doesn't remind me of saffron but rather of the typical bitter almond aroma (the one used in baking). Very herbaceous, very bitter, and, in my opinion, even quite almond-like, almost reminiscent of marzipan (even though almond is not listed).
However, this explosion dissipates within a few short minutes, leaving behind a sensual, sweet, warm, yet fresh oriental scent. The soft orange blossom and vanilla come through, paired with a freshness that I can't quite place. For me personally, there is even a hint of mint detectable in the background (although, again, not listed).
I can somewhat understand the comparison to "Libre (Eau de Parfum Intense) | Yves Saint Laurent." Nevertheless, I find this fragrance to be very unique and "standing on its own." The heart notes, in a very distant way, remind me of the typical Libre intense DNA, but they have their own personal character.
The scent is warm and sweet. However, because there is always a certain freshness present in the background, it is not a headache-inducing scent that overwhelms you.
In my opinion, it leans more towards the masculine side. A light note of men's shower gel or aftershave, which is still pleasant for a woman, is noticeable.
The fragrance is warm and inviting. It definitely tends towards a southern aesthetic (dark hair, dark eyes, and sun-kissed skin).
Over time, the praline note comes out more, and it even starts to smell somewhat edible. The image and scent of raw cookie dough come to mind.
In the drydown, it develops woody and soft at the same time, even with a hint of creaminess. Anyone who knows the scent of cashmere candles will find a bit of it here as well. Sweet, woody, and soft at the same time.
Overall, I find the fragrance very pleasant, inviting, warm, and incredibly sensual. I just put it on and can't stop sniffing my arm. It definitely has a certain addictive quality.
