Dark Machinations

Encens Imperial is one of those fragrances that steps slowly from the shallow mist into the recognizable, gently touching the body with cold hands and then embracing it warmly and intimately.
Like a dark machination that transforms from the dark into the soul, sweeping away all anthracite. A very gentle note of dark berries resonates, breathing a bit more joy into the darkness. Lightly spiced, with a hint of nutmeg and pepper. Slightly herbal at the edges, subtly earthy at the deepest point of the heart. Not at all shrill and loud, but rather extremely quiet, the scent clings to the breath. The smoky essence lingers densely in the shallow mist, melancholically weaving through thoughts.

The shallow mist then slowly but surely dissipates, and it no longer feels so murky. The perception is no longer dazed. The cold hands are now warm. The embrace is even more intimate. Beautiful facets of warmth spread throughout the space. Resin shimmers golden in the fragrance, coating the berries with a thick liquid.

Thus, the scent lingers for a very long time and seems to slumber before the sweetness fades away, leaving only a lukewarm cloak of smoke and resin behind. Exactly my style! The performance is impressive. As for longevity and sillage, it is certainly not a beast. No, it presents itself much closer to the wearer... dark machinations indeed.

That sounds very appealing. I hope it's included in the test kit I ordered from the brand.

It might be a bit too soft for me, but I enjoyed reading it.

I'm definitely in for the dark one. I'll have to see how the berries turn out.

I do like myrrh often, but he should please warm his hands before he touches me...

I'll stick with my Eusersdorff: Classic Myrrh. The black Joha - you never really know - might be too dark for me.

That all sounds so good, I immediately checked out the scent notes! Now I have cold hands from discovering the saffron, and I'm slightly shivering with "fear"! Just dark dealings! Such a shame, because I love warm hugs! Great post!

That sounds wonderful. Especially for those days when spring just doesn't want to arrive yet.
