softer LDBS
this is a "Love Don't Be Shy"-flavored LaCroix... if you know what I mean. It's nice, but it's soooooo wispy and musky that I find myself craving more scent. I can think of 4 people in my life who would love this as a signature scent, and if you're a collector of Prada or the Candy line, I think this is an awesome addition. I'll be gifting my mini dabber to my cousin, who'll probably make this her summer scent (she's a LDBS fanatic in the cooler weather).

MoroccanOil by Prada
imagine you've just had a baby. you're nearing your late 30's. and every little bone in your aging, not-active-enough body is wondering why you did this to yourself again after all these years. but you finally get to sneak away for an anxiety-ridden shower, hop out and give yourself a couple of sprays of Prada Candy Kiss, and retire to the couch with your French Bulldogs for the night, appreciating the little bit of even somewhat-quiet time you've got. this fragrance is actual magic and including it in your nighttime routine becomes a necessity. not too fresh, not too sweet, not too powdery, it gives GOLDILOCKS in that it's *just right*

i had purchased this years ago due to it's supposed similarity to the scent of MoroccanOil products. when i opened it, i was in heaven because yes, it did smell like that. i don't love musk, but in here...it's ethereal. it's floating. like falling asleep up in the stars; this musk is a cushion of the softest, billowing cashmere cloud keeping you from falling. the vanilla is just sweet enough to remind you that you're a girl and that girls deserve sweet things! and the delicate orange blossom gives it an upscale-dryer-sheet touch to complete the whole thing. she doesn't smell like Tide, Gain, Snuggle--it's probably something fancy, she probably has 'people' who do her laundry for her. it's actually wild to read the simple list of notes and, at least for me, not necessarily be able to smell any one of them separately, though they're all very obviously there. they're mixed into this gorgeous, entirely new smell. which, i guess...is...the...point. lol! in the land of "the opening smells like...," "in the mid you've got...," and "but in the dry down, you're left with..." course of evolution, it's nice to have a nice, safe, predicable, linear scent. but i personally get tired of chasing one phase of a fragrance anyway.

AN ABSOLUTE SHAME it's discontinued; no matter how many backups i have, it's just not fair. oh, not to mention, WORLDS BETTER than the MoroccanOil perfume. how you gonna let Prada out-do you on your own product's signature scent lol

The last one gives a kiss!
The fourth kiss. No, I meant the fourth candy. Candy kiss. Candy Kiss… oh, I’m tired.
Of course, I’m tired, because it was yet another little adventure testing this fragrance. Prada Candy belongs to the scents that come in cute, pretty bottles and look colorful and beautiful on the shelves. And as a guy, I have to brave those shelves!

So I dressed in all black like a special unit to approach the women’s fragrances (in my head, “something” kept humming the Mission Impossible melody). Suddenly, I realized that I had made a fateful mistake. The aisles are flooded with light, most of the women’s bottles have bright and colorful shades, everything somehow shines. And me in black stands out even more!!!

Well, my small stature is still a slight advantage for me. Crouching slightly, I scurry from shelf to shelf and am glad that the candies are in the farthest corner where no one can see me. I approach, look around, have almost reached the Kiss, and suddenly a lady turns into my aisle. Nooo! Never mind, I have to wait. The lady, a bit too heavily made up, comes closer and stops right at the candies. “No, not the candies!” I think to myself, but she reaches for the Angel, which is right above the candies. Almost as expected, she sprays herself for three minutes, all over… I almost want to shout after her: “Lady, you forgot your hair!”. Suddenly, as if she read my thoughts, she stops, I gulp in shock, but then notice that she is just checking the price of the Angel. Yes, yes, the fragrances aren’t cheap, right? And then she grabs the bottle again and gives herself a few more sprays…

Never mind, when she finally leaves, I look around one more time, grab the Candy, and spray my arm full. Since I’ve learned from past mistakes and don’t just vanish with a small spray, I spray my whole arm FULL before I make my escape.
I occasionally have to hide my dripping wet arm from enemy contact (= women), but I still manage to get a good impression of the scent, which I will now describe:

The scent:
The scent starts with musk. It is heavy or dark sweet, which also applies to the neroli. Combined, they create a dark, sweet fragrance that smells very pleasant. The Prada Candy DNA is only slightly present and is noticeable mainly through the musk, but Candy Kiss smells quite different from the other Candys. The typical Prada “soapy” note is also only slightly present here (yes, yes, the soap haters can breathe a sigh of relief!).
As I said, the Kiss smells darker, not as cotton candy sweet as the regular Candy. And it’s not floral fresh like the Candy Florale either. Maybe Kiss leans a little towards Candy L’Eau, as you can also smell the musk well in L’Eau, but L’Eau is not as dark, rather fresher.
A little later, vanilla mixes in, making the Kiss a bit heavier, but like all Candys, it smells excellent. At the very end, the fragrance does acquire a sugary note in the background, but the musk continues to dominate with the vanilla.

The sillage and longevity:
Despite the dark sweetness, I found the sillage of the Kiss to be rather subtle. The scent will be noticed by you girls, but it won’t leave a large fragrance cloud behind.
The longevity didn’t seem very long to me either. It lasts a maximum of five to six hours, but unfortunately not more.

The bottle:
The bottle is still the same bottle, just in a different color. This time, the color scheme is very successful and looks beautiful in its pink and white tones. The upper band with the golden Prada lettering is white and has gilded edges. The umbrella-like cap or spray head is also white with a golden lower part. All in all, as always, very well done.

Like all Candys, you can’t go wrong with the Kiss itself, but you shouldn’t expect a scent that smells like caramel or cotton candy or sugar, as it is more musk-sweet, thus a bit darker, but also more seductive.

I wrote that the scent is heavily sweet, but it’s not really heavy, so it can be worn in all seasons, even in (not too hot) summer, and is suitable either as a casual scent or for going out. For partying, I would still recommend the regular Candy, as it smells a bit stronger and significantly sweeter and yummier (and lasts a little longer). The Kiss, on the other hand, is more suitable for seduction, for a date, and such occasions. Well, at least in my opinion.

As for me, I think all Candys are absolutely great. All women must smell wonderful with these fragrances. Therefore, I think you should definitely test this scent, as well as the other Candys!

Phew, mission accomplished. All Candys have been tested and commented on :D

Come on, what are you still reading for? Go test.
And give me a kiss if you liked my comment :)

Fragile Kiss
Today, my loyal perfume saleswoman called me to share some offers.

Ah - how nice and attentive!
From my hasty, scribbled notes, Candy Kiss caught my eye.
Oh, it would be worth the rainy trip for that.
I really like the Candy, with its fluffy, light caramel sweetness.
How sweet would a kiss taste?

Arriving drenched in the store, I was immediately hopeful and sprayed.
Oh dear - the start is unexpected.
A strangely bitter soap mixture approaches my nose, gradually but relentlessly taking possession of it.
Could this be the musk?
It has always had a smooth, shiny presence for me - but here it seems oddly fragile.
Some warmth is conveyed by the orange blossom, but only faintly in the background.
Softly but dryly, vanilla joins in - and the scent remains unyielding.
No, I don’t want to be kissed like this.

As I enter the house, my husband calls out from offstage: It smells like bad soap in here!

So the "Do Not Buy" was indeed worth it.

Kiss Kiss Kiss
Two things are not really well received on Parfumo: new releases and flankers. What does today's perfume youth have to offer that an Opium or a Shalimar couldn't also satisfy?!
Clearly, Candy Kiss has a tough time here. Unjustly. I even think Candy Kiss is a very successful Prada release. With typical Prada DNA. If you take away the caramel from the original Candy, what remains is a fluffy body lotion musk. Many might find that too little. I’m into that:-)
I even go so far as to say that right now there are numerous successful new perfumes (Narciso Poudrée, Olympea Aqua) and Candy Kiss is one of them.
Even the name, although it is really silly, I find fitting. Candy Kiss is not a loud scent; it is fluffy, soft, skin-like, and as intimate as a tender kiss.
I can only smell the orange blossom at the beginning, then the musk takes over. In my opinion, there are no similarities with For Her.
Anyone who enjoys clean, intimate, slightly sweet musk scents should give Candy Kiss a chance. Despite the silly name and flanker rage.

Mostly orange blossom, as if a clean French child dressed in white handed you a dandelion stem. Flanker of Candy??? Why?

Candys musky sister. They clearly share a similar DNA, but Kiss seems to last much longer and has a stronger sillage.

A more than daring, overly sweet scent. But after 1 day !!!! (note that) it becomes more bearable.
I wish I could test it again.

If you're looking for the scent of "kitten paws," you're in the right place. Very soft, a bit sweet, a bit powdery, feminine, and really "fluffy."
