Witch's Cottage in the Fairy Tale Forest
For hours you have been struggling through the dense greenery. Finally, the sun rises and you can see something again.
Completely exhausted and frozen, you now perceive new notes alongside the leaves and grasses: spices. Where are they coming from? Have you really found it? If it even exists...
Through the underbrush, you think you can actually make out a wooden hut. The witch's cottage in the fairy tale forest? Oh, come on.
Slowly, you approach the hut, very cautiously, we don't want to startle anyone. The wood is thickly moss-covered in some places. Outside the hut, a pleasantly fragrant brew is simmering, like spicy tea. More spices are laid out to dry on the wooden terrace, where the first rays of sunshine are already falling. You would love to taste the steaming liquid... better not.
You now peek through the small window of the cottage but can see nothing. A faint snoring reaches your ears.
Curiosity wins. You simply have to know.
The door is not locked, you step inside.
There isn't much space inside, but it is cozy. Leather and furs are spread out, the residual warmth of the fireplace is still palpable. On the table sits a small bowl filled with honey. Now you really can't resist. You taste the honey, wonderful, just a bit more. Suddenly, you freeze. Where did the snoring go? Slowly and hesitantly, you turn around in the small room.... and discover a bed in the darkest corner. Someone is indeed sleeping in it! You don't move anymore, staring at the sleeping figure.
Her eyes open and meet your gaze. The witch has awakened...
------------------------------------------------------
The scent starts off green and spicy, very pleasant, not heavy or intrusive. Later, a moderate leather and honey note joins in. Nothing stands out, everything harmonizes with one another. The spices remain present in the background. A gentle vanilla makes Awaken the Witch softer and slightly sweet in the dry down. The scent fits wonderfully into autumn and also into winter. Only the longevity could be better.
