Forest lake

A forest lake in the hot afternoon. Smells of needles, moss and steamed wood come from the forest. Odors of water lilies, rhododendron and cane draw above the lake. It's very quiet, almost windless, the sky is clear and transparent. Lie on the planked footway and read "In the Woods" by Melnikov-Pechersky. About mermaids and another forest dwellers.
