"Blue" on a Wet-Grey Day

Let's keep it short and sweet: Today is a grey day, it's raining, it smells like wet asphalt and I'm alternating between experimental rock and slightly contemplative piano music.

Suddenly, I was struck by a strange longing for a scent that would match this day, smoky and shadowy. Shortly after, I found myself in my favorite perfumery, where I struggled unsuccessfully with leather and vetiver scents.

I described to the saleswoman what I was looking for: "It should fit this exact weather... not too dark, it shouldn't be night, more like dim light, grey, shadowy. But not too masculine, harsh and smoky, and also not feminine oriental with dark rose or anything like that. I'm in the mood for rain, water, diffuse light..."
She reached for Ombre Indigo - and she was absolutely right!

Ombre Indigo has everything I was looking for. And it unfolds in exactly the specified layers. Starting with a floral plum-sweet opening, moving to a leathery-smoky slightly earthy vetiver, and culminating in a warm amber finish.

The scent feels introverted, artistic, the image perfectly captured in the scent itself and also in the wonderful blue color - "blue" translates not only to blue but also to sad and melancholic.
