Lemon in winter?!
Brief history
I still remember well when I bought my first perfume with my father.
He is a niche lover himself and dragged me along to a small basement perfumery in Berlin Mitte (I'm sure some of you know it) With an open mind, I answered the question of what scent I was looking for "citrusy...and um fresh"
And that's when I smelled it for the first time: Still life! A fragrance that I liked so much that it became my Christmas present...(thanks dad).
But now to the actual review:
After 2 years of proper perfume experience and testing several fragrances, I realize how almost impossible it is for many houses to create a citrus fragrance that fits into every season and fulfills its task: Citrus.
Houses like Aqua di Parma with Bergamotto di Calabria
or
Chanel with Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême lead the way.
However, many of you are going blind because of this citrus basic idea out there.
THERE IS SO MUCH MORE!!!
Still Life is like the ray of warming sunlight on a Sunday noon in the cold winter.
It smells like the feeling of biting into a lemon cake with icing at a children's birthday party when you were 5 years old.
The scent makes the body loll like a cat after its afternoon nap.
This scent is the lemon you imagine when you scroll around Parfumo looking for a new blind buy.
No iron, no stinging, no menthol, no suffocating sweetness and, most importantly, no unnecessary spices.
I can only recommend everyone to spray this fragrance on in winter. Dr gives a completely different direction.
It's a really nice change from all the heavy fragrances.
It's like when you slowly realize on December 15th that all the speculoos and the constant lying are starting to put you in a bad mood, so you put on warm clothes and go for a walk in the cold.
Just like a vitamin D tablet, the Still Life awakens the endorphins in you.
