Tong Mu Lapsang Souchoung
Few years back a tea came to Mei Leaf tea house in London by accident and instead of the usual unsmoked Lapsang Souchong from Tong Mu, they received a smoked one. But what a beauty! It was smoked over longan wood which gave it a fruity touch and the smoke was gentle on the tea. This is exactly how Smoky Soul smells like to me! Like a delicate superb quality smoked Lapsang Souchong from Tong Mu! If you are expecting that really deep smoke in the average smoked Lapsang, you will be disappointed. I, for one, am not. I just wish I still had some of that tea!
