Dark chocolate and candied orange drowned in culinary spice: bay leaf, laurel, oregano. Tolerable drydown with camphorous, earthy patchouli.

You had me at dark chocolate + candied orange @CivetOnly - but the camphorous patchouli sounds like it might be too much for me. 😅 Was the base particularly strong?

@Gourmandgrl hell there are even smaller sizes, let me know if you ever end up testing it and/or liking it. Then I'll know for sure where your chocolate preferences are aligned.

@CivetOnly I am nothing if not a creature of gourmand comfort 😂 so that sounds totally up my alley - definitely added to the list, thank you for the rec!

@Gourmandgrl then you REALLY need to check out Seattle Chocolate, her stuff is so cheap in the States, 15ml would run you $35. The thing is, there wasn't enough for me to write about (for a statement). It's exactly what it promises to be - slightly aromatic chocolate.

@CivetOnly I hear you, that does sound like an off-putting combo (the savory spices with the gourmand chocolate orange).
But hey now, I love forgettable gourmands! As long as they are quality, of course 😂

@Gourmandgrl hmm, it kinda mellows out and becomes a bit earthier. Strong kitchen spice is the main issue, I think that’s where camphorous or herbal touch is coming from.
I’ve only mentioned bay leaf, but edited to add laurel and oregano. Very off-putting combined with an orange dark chocolate. That said, without that culinary aspect, it’d be another forgettable gourmand, so I guess it’s at least unique, haha.
