Peridoto Omnia Profumi 2013

I want to start by saying that I find all the fragrances tested so far from Omnia Profumi to be unusual yet wearable. Especially the top and heart notes impress with their unusual combinations and emphases, which I think also applies to those of us who are already a bit "scent-weary."

So, first of all, there is primarily a blend of very bright citrus notes and, upon closer sniffing, barely noticeable vanilla, but Peridoto is so much livelier, spicier, and more multifaceted.
There is so much happening around it that as a "non-vanilla lover," I hardly register it at all. It is bitter-spicy-sweet all at once.

In the heart, there are floral and spicy aspects, but they are not really tangible, always accompanied by the citrus notes. I think of pansies and spring.
Beneath it seems to be some amber, subtle vanilla, warm non-indolic jasmine, and creamy sandalwood. The incense is so well integrated that I don't notice it.

I perceive it as transparent but distinctly noticeable and has a pleasant, transparent, dark-sweet aura that hovers like a delicate curtain over the other fragrance notes. A bit like a fresh/warm/sweet alpine herbal candy.
In combination with the fresh citrus notes, which remain until the end, and some faintly noticeable floral impressions, it creates an unusual impression of spring freshness with a simultaneously warming, comforting aspect.

As an additional reference, I would like to mention "Orazuli" by S.T. Dupont; I find they head in the same direction.
