This perfume category certainly has a lot of beautiful aspects, and there are now many variations. From salty to "brackish water," to "Blue Lagoon," or "resinous-aquatic," to "ice-cold refreshing." All very interesting and worth testing. And sometimes, swap offers in the souk and forum are tempting. This swap was absolutely "blind," uncommented, without a statement, just reading the above details. And yet, I am taken with this new "Oriflame." It practically demands the attention of my olfactory organ and stimulates the imagination. It is not just another aquatic in the vast sea of "water scents." It is a poem about the midnight sun in the far north, about the cool winds in the fjords, about a wide landscape with northern forests, lichens, and moss on ancient trees. A tribute to Swedish beaches, to the cold, clear water of the sea, and a "Merian magazine" about the nature of the far north. I see the long shadows cast by the "night beachgoers" around the time of the summer solstice. And the surfers trying their luck on the high waves. Without fear of falling into the rather cold water. And if it happens, then with a cheerful laugh, to get back up and continue surfing. The fresh breeze of the ever-present light winds in my hair and on my face. I gladly sniff this spicy, moist, woody, mossy, green-blue scent to enjoy it. And it is true: "Oriflame" captures the essence of a landscape or a piece of nature as if with a high-quality olfactory mechanical camera!
